Oral suspension contains the active ingredient bismuth pubsalicylate. It works by forming a soothing and protective coating of your stomach and intestine.
DO NOT USE IF YOU ARE:
• under 16 years due to a possible reaction between salicylates and Reye’s syndrome (a very rare but very Serious disease)
• allergic to salicylates including aspirin or any of the other ingredients
• taking other salicylates including aspirin
• iregnant or breast-feeding.
ASK A DOCTOR BEFORE USE IF YOU ARE TAKING MEDICINES FOR:
- thinning the blood (anticoagulants)
- diabetes
- gout.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Adults and children over 16 years only:
• Shake the bottle well before use. For oral use only.
• Pour 30ml one dose into the cup provided and swallow.
• Repeat the dose fevery 30-60 minutes needed.
• Do not take more than 8 doses in 24hrs
• Do not exceed the stated dose or use after the expiry date. Only use as directed, use for longer than 2 days, or in higher doses than recommended has been associated with an increase in side affects.
• If you have diarrhoea, it is important to prevent or treat dehydration by drinking plenty of fluids or taking oral rehydration products especially if you are frail or elderly,
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS:
This product may cause a temporary and harmless darkening of the stool and/or tongue. Warning: this product contains amaranth (colouring) which may cause allergic type reactions including asthma.
TOP USING AND SEE YOUR DOCTOR IF:
• Symptoms are Jevere or persist for more than 2 days
• you have diarrhea companied by fever
• you notice anything nusual or have unexpected side effects
• You accidentally take too much.

INGREDIENTS:
Active is bismuth subsalicylate (526 mg in 30ml dose). Others: aluminium magnesium silicate, jnethylcellulose, methyl salicylate, salicylic acid, sorbic acid, benzoic acid, saccharin todium salicylate, amaranth and water.
